[...] It’s not a PaMdora quilt, because I sort of wanted to see what would happen if I submitted something other than PaMdora — would it be accepted? So I started the new “Wish You Were Hair” series. Another lady did get accepted into the 2009 show. She doesn’t have a name, but she does have an attitude. [...]

haha, Judy, I don't know. I didn't specifically draw him, but the subconscious mind is mysterious. Seeing him on your blog has made a big impression on me. Do you think you could give him a "do" like that?

You couldn't miss Big Ben!! What about the colors of warm pinky sunset glowing against ancient grey rock? :-) It's fun because it really does have a lean to it (making it naturally more festive for Pamdora)

AND it's clock faces light up at night. OOooo, a night scene with glowing face Big Ben and that big wheely thing they built for 2000 (what is that called) in the scene might really be fun!

Big Ben is Gothic Revival with detailed ironwork at the top. He's got 'is own hat on!

Can't wait to see what you do with him! Enjoy!

Alysse :-)

Hi Alysse,

How did you know that Big Ben was on my list to render? Now I'm trying to start the drawing, but what colors do you think Big Ben should be? In a cartoon that is....

Thanks for the comments!

What fun! I have to admit to a life long LOVE of Big Ben! I finally was able to travel to and live in LONDON for three months in college. I LOVED seeing Big Ben almost every day, in different lighting, at night..... and I still miss it. What is it about big monuments??

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Cheers,
Alysse
